Ex-Pakistan women’s captain calls on premier

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif felicitated on Friday former Pakistan women’s captain Sana Mir on her “historic” induction into the International Cricket Council (ICC) Hall of Fame.
According to details, Mir called on the premier. On this occasion, PM Shehbaz has acknowledged the prowess of the former Pakistan women’s captain, saying, “Under your leadership, the Pakistan women’s team had clinched significant achievements and made the entire nation proud.”
The premier hoped that Mir would utilise her experience by playing an active role in the new talent’s development.
PM Shehbaz has vowed to uplift the meritocracy in all the sports. He said, “The government is looking to provide equal opportunity to both men and women in all the sports.”
On the other side, Mir had expressed her gratitude to the premier for acknowledging her success. Mir had given the proposals for further uplifting women’s cricket. “Hopefully, the government will take measures for uplifting the cricket, particularly the women’s cricket,” Mir maintained.
“I would try my level best to ensure the maximum representation of Pakistan at the World Cricketers’ Association (WCA) and International Cricket Council (ICC),” Mir said
