Bilawal praises Pakistani media’s role in befitting response to India

Ex-foreign minister acknowledges Pakistan’s role at diplomatic level

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari praised on Friday the role of media in befitting response to the Indian aggression.

Addressing the “Meet the Press” at National Press Club Islamabad, Bhutto-Zardari said: “I am happy to be here at the Press Club.”  At the outset of his speech, he added: “I would like to brief you about the Pakistan’s peace mission. Allah Almighty had blessed Pakistan with a historical victory in a five-day war.”

The former foreign minister said, “I would consider the victories for Pakistan on three fronts. The Pakistan Army had defeated the big army of India. Pakistan had played a historical role at the diplomatic level.”

“The Pakistani media had also clinched a landmark achievement within five days at the diplomatic level. The world has commended the role of Pakistani media. We are proud of Pakistani media, as it has informed the world about Pakistan’s narrative despite the hardships,” he said.

“India’s narrative was merely based on lies. We have defeated a country bigger in size than us seven times,” he added.

Bhutto-Zardari said, “When the allegation was levelled at us about the Pahalgam attack, the prime minister has asked India to provide evidence about the attack. It was a great decision made by the prime minister.”

“Our credibility had been increased with this decision of the prime minister,” he added.

Continuing to take a dig at India, Bhutto-Zardari said, “Even at the diplomatic level, India was lying at the diplomatic level.”

“India started to level allegations from that time when Pakistan had not even given a befitting response to India,” he said.
