Apple acknowledged the disruption on its System Status page

Apple’s iCloud services experienced a significant outage that lasted several hours, affecting users worldwide. Core services including Find My, Photos, iWork, iCloud Mail, iCloud Calendar, and iCloud Contacts were among those disrupted.
The issue began around 1:18 am IST, with Downdetector recording a sharp spike in user-reported problems, primarily related to email and server connection failures. A smaller number of users reported syncing issues.
Apple acknowledged the disruption on its System Status page, confirming that “some users were affected”, but did not specify the scale or severity of the outage. The company stated that all impacted services were fully restored by 4:30 am IST.
The affected services included:
- Apple Business Essentials
- Apple Business Manager
- Apple School Manager
- Find My
- iCloud Account and Sign-In
- iCloud Calendar
- iCloud Contacts
- iCloud Mail
- iCloud Storage Upgrades
- iCloud Web Apps
- iWork for iCloud
- Photos
Several users voiced their frustration on social media platform X. One user, Steve Guttbinder, noted, “Never have I seen Apple’s cloud services down for this long and with a straight up ‘outage’ (vs. ‘issues’) no less. Over 2.5 hours and counting.”
Apple has not provided further details regarding the cause of the outage but confirmed that all services are now operating normally.
