Hundreds of international activists who plan to hold a peaceful demonstration on the Egyptian side of the Rafah Border Crossing next week to show solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza will gather in Cairo, Egypt, for the “Global Gaza March.”Thousands of activists from 32 countries, in coordination with civil society organizations, diplomats and humanitarian organizations, plan to demonstrate at the Rafah Border Crossing on June 15.

The activists aim to gather in the Egyptian capital Cairo on June 12, go to the city of Arish on the Gaza border the next day and from there reach the Rafah Border Gate with a 50-kilometer march that will last three days.
The main coalition organizing the demonstration said that support for the Palestinian cause was growing stronger internationally, and that they had representatives in many countries in Europe, North and South America, as well as Arab and Asian countries.’We raise our voices for the end of the brutal blockade’
Yahya Sari, the head of the Algerian Initiative for the Victory of Palestine and Aid to Gaza, said in a statement that their convoy named “Determination Caravan” has set off for Tunisia, where it will join the Tunisian convoy and then move on to Libya and then Egypt.
Sari, a leading member of the Algerian Muslim Scholars Association, said the convoy was of a humanitarian nature and that he raised his voice, together with the free people of the world, to demand an end to the brutal blockade imposed on the people of Gaza.
Sari pointed out his country’s supportive stance towards Palestine, saying, “The convoy is participating in the international humanitarian aid movement launched by land, sea and air to reject the crimes committed against the people of Gaza.”
Addressing the Palestinian people in Gaza, Sari said, “We tell them that they are not alone. We are with you in your pain and distress. This is what we can do to make your voice heard in the world.”
“This is an unprecedented crime.”
Abdulhafiz al-Sariti, coordinator of the NGO “National Action Group for Palestine” from Morocco, said that they will reach Egypt from Morocco by air for the Global Gaza March and will go to the Rafah Border Crossing from Cairo.
Sariti emphasized that the Moroccan people held street demonstrations after Israel launched its attacks on Gaza, and stated that they will continue to support the people of Gaza.
Stating that the necessary coordination was achieved with the organizing officials of the march, Sariti said, “The Palestinian people are being subjected to genocide by US bombs and weapons, and are under a suffocating blockade that is causing famine and disease. This is an unprecedented crime.”
Sariti called on the international community to “take urgent action to stop Israel’s genocide in the Gaza Strip and ensure aid reaches Gaza.”
The Haaretz newspaper reported that the activists, who pointed out that they had no intention of entering the Gaza Strip, would wait at the border and donate the approximately 300 tents they purchased to the Palestinians in Gaza.
